(Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology) The study found that increased home ventilation, measured by the annual average infiltration rate (AAIR), was positively associated with improved lung function. The association was strongest for healthy populations and weaker for those with asthma and asthma-like symptoms. This study is the first in the US to link home ventilation to objectively measured lung function in low-income, urban households.
